THE APPRAISAL PROCESS

The Appraisal Process contains:
  • DISPUTE

There is a disagreement between the insurance carrier and the insured over the assesment of the insured loss

  • APPRAISAL SUMMONING

In order to value of the loss, each party will appoint an adequate appraiser

  • PANEL MEETING

Upon inspection documentation and value of the loss, the appraisers will attempt to reach an agreement on their respective positions. In the event the two appraisers are able to reach an agreement, the appraisers will determine the amount of the loss and execute the appraisal award.

  • UMPIRE SELECTION

Upon Inspection, if the two appraisers are unable to agree, the umpire will be appealed to rule on the differences of the two appraisers. Once the Umpire determines the amount of the loss, all panel members will sign the Appraisal Award

    Upon Inspection

  • APPRAISAL AWARD

The appraisal award is then delivered to the carrier and release payments to the Homeowner finalizing the appraisals.
